Michael B. Jordan’s gritty crime drama got a little too gritty when a man allegedly showed up on set with a large butcher’s knife and frightened the film crew.
The NYPD told TMZ that 23-year-old Alex Perez allegedly disrupted filming by running across the set of “Miami Vice ‘85” in Brooklyn around 11 PM Friday.
Police were called after Perez allegedly brandished the knife and threatened a production staffer.
In video exclusively obtained by TMZ, Perez is seen being escorted off the set by a staffer before pulling the large knife from his sweatshirt pocket.
An officer at the scene arrested Perez at 11:17 PM. While in handcuffs, he allegedly hurled a racial slur at the staffer.
Perez has five prior arrests, including for alleged gang-related activities, assault with a firearm and burglary. He was charged with second-degree menacing with a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
