October 30, 2026 Halle Berry’s Ex Olivier Martinez Keeps Primary Custody, at Least Temporarily

Halle Berry’s Ex Olivier Martinez Keeps Primary Custody, at Least Temporarily

The judge in Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez’s bitter custody case has issued a ruling, and we’re told Halle won on one issue but lost on another. The domestic violence restraining order was dissolved, but she did not get the custody outcome she wanted.

Martinez’s attorney, Patrick Baghdaserians, told TMZ that Olivier now has primary physical custody of their 13-year-old son, Maceo. The two previously shared joint custody, and Baghdaserians says Berry’s lawyers asked to return to a 50/50 split, which the judge refused. The judge is expected to revisit custody issues in November, though, so the matter will be back on the table next week.

We’re also told the judge ruled that Berry can no longer have overnight visits with Maceo. Martinez had asked to restrict her custody during holidays, but that request was denied. Baghdaserians called the primary custody decision a “huge victory,” saying the judge weighed evidence on how both parents raise Maceo. Berry’s rep, meanwhile, says she still holds joint legal custody and has the tiebreaking vote if the two can’t agree.

The ruling caps a vicious custody fight over Maceo. Martinez had claimed that Berry choked the boy, and Maceo later gave testimony behind closed doors, with both parents ordered out of the courtroom. Berry denied the allegations and tried to keep Maceo from testifying, claiming Martinez had coached him, but the boy ultimately took the stand in a closed hearing.

Earlier this week, Berry’s Instagram account was seemingly hacked, and a post that went up on Monday stirred up the courtroom. It claimed that when kids disrespect their mom, the cause often traces back to their relationship with their father. Judge Kaufman later denied a request from Martinez’s legal team to reopen evidence, after his attorney argued the post was disturbing his client’s peace.

Tupac Murder Convict Keffe D Transferred to Maximum-Security Prison

Duane “Keffe D” Davis, the man convicted of orchestrating Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder, has been moved to a maximum-security prison near Las Vegas, just weeks after receiving a sentence of decades behind bars.

Las Vegas outlet 8 News Now reports that Davis was transferred from a Las Vegas jail to High Desert State Prison, a high-security facility, following his conviction and sentencing earlier this month.

According to TMZ, the 63-year-old was sentenced on October 13 to 40 years to life in prison, after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder in August.

Prosecutors argued that Davis helped plan the fatal drive-by shooting as payback for an attack on his nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, by Tupac and members of his entourage at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Tupac was shot on September 7, 1996, while riding in a BMW with Suge Knight, and he died six days later at just 25. Davis was the only person ever charged in the rapper’s killing, which went unsolved for nearly three decades.

Davis’ legal team continues to maintain his innocence and plans to appeal the conviction.

Sir Ian McKellen Mourns the Loss of Sir Patrick Stewart

Sir Ian McKellen is grieving the death of his close friend and longtime collaborator, Sir Patrick Stewart, and is mourning the loss of a legend.

McKellen remembered Stewart as someone who was open about his feelings, which made him a man to depend on, admire, and, in McKellen’s case, love.

The “Lord of the Rings” star recalled meeting Stewart “half a century ago.” His first vivid memory of his friend, though, was urging him not to accept the role in “Star Trek” that would become iconic, because he feared it would endanger Stewart’s esteemed stage career. McKellen also thanked Stewart on behalf of “Trekkies” and “film and theatre audiences” who got to enjoy his talent.

The two actors’ friendship lasted decades, and they co-starred in “X-Men” in 2000. McKellen even officiated Stewart’s 2013 wedding to Sunny Ozell, held in a Mexican restaurant. Stewart once described the spontaneous ceremony on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” explaining that they discovered McKellen couldn’t use his ministerial credentials in Nevada, where they were marrying.

So they invited McKellen, two guests, and a theater director to dinner at a Mexican restaurant instead.

As TMZ previously reported, Stewart died at 86 after a brief battle with Alzheimer’s.
