As reported by *People*, Trump was not alone in his belief that the images were authentic. Alongside these AI-generated visuals, Trump circulated a video capturing a woman’s candid reaction, genuinely convinced that Swift’s ardent followers had aligned themselves with Trump. This shift was allegedly spurred by the attempted terrorist attack at Swift’s concert in Vienna, fueling the notion that under Trump’s administration, such an incident would have been unimaginable. Predictably, Trump shared this video, as it epitomizes the kind of self-aggrandizing narrative he relishes.
One photo shows Taylor Swift superimposed on the famous “Uncle Sam” poster. Trump also shared a screenshot with the caption “satire,” claiming that “Swifties Turning to Trump After ISIS Foiled Taylor Swift Concert.” Trump, unsurprisingly, believed these images were real and enthusiastically wrote “I accept!” However, the reality was that the pop star had not endorsed him for president. The images were actually generated with AI.
