A new trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World” has been released, offering a glimpse of the next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After more than 10 years in the franchise, Anthony Mackie’s character, Sam Wilson, is finally getting his own solo MCU movie. This follows his acceptance of the shield from Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, at the end of “Avengers: Endgame.” The first trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World” hinted at a political thriller with superhero action/adventure elements, similar to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” and the latest footage maintains that tone.
At D23 Brazil this weekend, Marvel Studios released the official trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World.” The trailer provides an extended look at Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk as he faces off against Sam Wilson’s Captain America. Additionally, the footage showcases more of Mackie’s new Captain America costume, which includes a retractable helmet similar to the Quantum suits from “Avengers: Endgame.” Check out the trailer below.
What The Captain America: Brave New World Trailer Reveals
Harrison Ford Becomes Red Hulk And Faces Off Against Captain America

The new trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World” offers more insight into the story, focusing on President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and an assassination attempt carried out by Isaiah Bradley, played by Carl Lumbly. The dialogue in the trailer suggests that the United States is on the brink of war, though the specific conflict has yet to be revealed. It appears to be related to the Celestial hand that emerged from the sea, which was a significant element in the ending of “Eternals.”
As confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) over the summer, the Celestial will be made of adamantium. After the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” where Wakanda fought against foreign powers attempting to steal their vibranium, it seems likely that the U.S. has shifted its focus to adamantium, which could provide them with a significant power advantage over the rest of the world. This situation likely leads to the fighting depicted near the Celestial’s hand in the trailer.
It remains to be seen how Ford’s Red Hulk persona will fit into the storyline. It’s possible that he has transformed into a Hulk for protection following the assassination attempt. Additionally, there are speculations that his transformation may be linked to the returning Marvel character, The Leader. We also have to consider Giancarlo Esposito’s character, Sidewinder, who appears in the trailer, seemingly taunting Captain America. While the trailer does reveal more footage, there are clearly still many details about the movie that have yet to be uncovered.
Our Take On The Captain America: Brave New World Trailer
It Looks Like Something Completely New
When the first trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World” was released, it drew comparisons to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” primarily due to its political thriller themes. However, “Brave New World” features significantly more epic superhero action, as showcased in the full trailer. The action scenes, including aerial battles near the Celestial hand and Sam Wilson slicing an exploding car in half with the wings of his suit, are less grounded than those in “The Winter Soldier,” but this shift isn’t necessarily a negative aspect. While achieving the right balance might be challenging, if “Captain America: Brave New World” can succeed in doing so, it has the potential to be another hugely successful entry in the MCU.
